HARMONY VS. BALANCE

  • Date

There is balance and there is harmony. Balance feels like the point in the center of the teeter-totter, it is a challenging place to stand. Under your right foot you check in to giving, under your left foot, receiving. Under your right foot if you push a little too much you are out of balance and at the same time if you over compensate on the left you are even more out of balance. Here is my point: balance is such a neutral place that it is for many a goal that goes unrealized and can be the cause of undue stress. It can bring up all of our human perfectionist tendencies, while sweeping away the beauty of each momentary experience. Balance is a recognition point that we can understand without actually being in it, meaning that we understand there is light and dark, there is play and work, there is faith and fear, there is a vast spectrum and polarity in this human experience. We can also understand that our consciousness, our awareness, our essence that lives beyond the feeler of our feelings, the thinker of our thoughts blends all of this polarity together into something much greater, limitless radiant stillness, the epitome of balance and our spiritual truth. But our experience here is a mortal one, with a body, with a heartbeat. We experience rhythm and tone, frequency and vibration. Navigating this space can be extremely challenging, especially when it is balance in all things we are working towards.

It may just be a little more freeing and attainable to allow your song, your harmony. That way the missteps are an integral part of the song, and you look for the lessons, and you move through your life engaging with the whole entire thing. Harmony Compass is all about loving the whole show, the lows, the highs, the ups, the downs, because they are in harmony. It encourages exploration into that which serves our highest, and it helps us stay in tune in a gentle way. Harmony Compass is dedicated to helping us find harmony and resonance, community and growth. It is dedicated to our heart-space, the seat of our intuitive direction, always guiding, the divine light inside that is always “on.” This place in us speaks softly and our beautiful spirit dances here unbridled. Harmony offers a way we can gloriously melt into oneness, experiencing the entirety of the natural rhythms that exist in human life. We are one with these rhythms, the openings and closures, the chaos and quiet, the movement and stillness. So we have choice in this human experience, we can hold our breath in balance, or we can breathe through harmony.

What do you think? Can you feel how harmony can be a dance you might want to participate in rather than rigidly focusing on the balance beam, the center of the teeter-totter?
